Rajasthan's only hill station, with both nights up on the hill — Dilwara's marble, Guru Shikhar, Nakki Lake and the sunset over the plains. Picked up and dropped in Udaipur.

About this trip
Two full nights in Mount Abu, not a rushed day trip. You are picked up in Udaipur, driven up into the Aravallis — about 170 km, three hours — and you stay on the hill. That is what makes the difference: Dilwara only opens to visitors from around midday, Sunset Point is an evening affair, and Guru Shikhar wants a clear morning. None of that fits into a single day out and back.
Udaipur is your pick-up and drop point only — this trip is about the hill. If you would like Udaipur sightseeing added on either side, we can extend by a day or two; just ask.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1
Up to the Hill Station
Pick-up in Udaipur and the drive south-west into the Aravallis — around 170 km, roughly three hours on a good climbing road. Check in, then an easy afternoon around the lake.
Drive: Udaipur → Mount Abu — About 3 hours with a tea stop on the way. The last stretch is a winding climb — worth a travel-sickness tablet for anyone prone to it.
Check-in & rest — Into your Mount Abu hotel by early afternoon. Rajasthan's only hill station sits at around 1,200 m and is noticeably cooler than the plains — carry a light jacket even in summer.
Nakki Lake — The lake at the centre of town, ringed by a walking path. Pedal and rowing boats on the water; horse rides and ice-cream stalls along the bank.
Toad Rock — The granite boulder shaped like a toad, above the lake. A short scramble up for the photo, or a fine view from the bottom.
Sunset Point — The classic evening spot, looking west over the plains. It gets busy, so we arrive early. Hand-pulled carts run the last stretch for anyone who'd rather not walk it.
Day 2
Temples, Peaks & Forts
A full day on the hill. Dilwara is the centrepiece, but it opens to visitors only from around midday — so the morning goes to the high points and the temples come after lunch.
Guru Shikhar — The highest peak of the Aravalli range, at about 1,722 m — a small Dattatreya shrine at the top and an old brass bell. A flight of steps at the end; the view earns them.
Achalgarh Fort & Achaleshwar Mahadev — A 15th-century fort above the town, and the Shiva temple below it whose shrine holds a toe-print rather than a lingam. Quiet, and rarely crowded.
Dilwara Jain Temples — Five marble temples from the 11th–13th centuries, and the finest stone carving in India. Non-Jain visitors are admitted from around midday. Cameras, phones, leather and food are not allowed inside. Allow an hour.
Brahma Kumaris Peace Park — Gardens and viewpoints on the Guru Shikhar road. Flat, shaded and calm — an easy stop for elders.
Evening in the bazaar — The market around Nakki Lake — handicrafts, chikki and somewhere good to eat. Back to the hotel at your own pace.
Day 3
Down to Udaipur
A slow morning on the hill, then the drive back down. Your drop is in Udaipur — share your train or flight time and we'll set the departure to suit it.
Morning at leisure — Breakfast, then time to walk the lake or go back to anything you'd like to see once more before check-out.
Adhar Devi Temple (optional) — A cave shrine cut into the rock, reached by around 360 steps. Comfortably skipped if the climb doesn't suit the group.
Drive: Mount Abu → Udaipur — About 3 hours back down, with one break on the way.
Drop in Udaipur — To your hotel, the railway station or Maharana Pratap airport.

Good to know
The order of stops may be adjusted for traffic, weather and monument timings — the route is planned for comfort, not a rigid clock.
Several monuments and museums have fixed timings or weekly closures; boat rides, ropeways and temple darshan run to their own schedules. These are confirmed at the time of booking.
3-star and 4-star hotels and daily breakfast are included as standard. Lunches and dinners are not, unless listed under inclusions.
Dilwara admits non-Jain visitors only from around midday, and cameras, phones, leather and food are not allowed inside. Day 2 is built around that.
Mount Abu sits at around 1,200 m and is cooler than the plains all year. Carry a light jacket even in summer; in December and January it can drop close to freezing at night.
The climb up is winding. If anyone in the group gets travel-sick, take something before the last hour.
This package does not include Udaipur sightseeing — Udaipur is the pick-up and drop point. Ask us if you would like a Udaipur day added.

Common questions
Does this include Udaipur sightseeing?
No. Udaipur is the pick-up and drop point only — this trip is about the hill. If you’d like Udaipur added on either side, we can extend it by a day or two; just ask.
Why two nights rather than a day trip?
Because a day trip doesn’t work. Dilwara admits visitors only from around midday, Sunset Point is an evening affair, and Guru Shikhar wants a clear morning. None of that fits into one day out and back.
Can the itinerary be customised?
Yes — this is a starting point. Add a night, swap a stop, or extend the route. Tell us what you’d like and we’ll adjust the plan.
Are hotels included?
Yes. Hotels are included as standard, on twin-sharing basis, with daily breakfast. You choose the category at booking and we’ll show you options at different price points.
When is the best time to do this trip?
October to March has the most comfortable weather. The trip runs year-round; in summer we plan early starts to avoid the midday heat.
How do we confirm and pay?
Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and group size. We’ll share the plan and pricing privately and confirm with a small advance.
